Europlasma

Situation

The technology developed by Europlasma has proven itself in the thermal treatment of hazardous waste, for example the elimination of hazardous fractions in the treatment of asbestos, the vitrification of radioactive waste.

The study focused on the value of this technology for cracking high molecular weight compounds such as tar, for treating gaseous pollutants, and for reforming process gases in the chemical industry.

Our approach

The aim of the study is to identify the issues, to analyse how these questions arise to industrialists and how they are handled, focusing essentially on two areas of application:

  • The processing of synthetic gas for the chemical industry, in particular to produce ammonia, methanol, synthetic natural gas
  • Hydrogen production by methane reforming

Our contribution

A state-of-the-art techniques and processes realized by our partner S3D

A bibliographic study conducted in French, English and German

A survey and interview phase inspired by the “marketing of innovation” studies

The survey and interviews aim to:

  • evaluate the technical, economic and environmental interest of the various actors in the industrial sectors targeted for the treatment and / or purification of gases using new technologies in order to qualify potential markets.
  • analyze operating constraints related to the integration of the technology developed by Europlasma.
